What K.C.K. did |
What this meant to the customer |
A tier-1 supplier of an aluminum truck support called K.C.K. on August 5,
“I know the tools aren’t going to be finished until mid-September, but my OEM customer wants production intent parts for assembly try-out in a week!”
|
K.C.K. completed the permanent forms, mounted them on temporary bases, stamped parts, and then sent out the parts to be laser-trimmed. On August 13, K.C.K.'s customer delivered 100 production-intent parts to the OEM.
|
The OEM was pleased that they were able to debug the assembly automation at the equipment vendor, thereby reducing costly troubleshooting during launch on the OEM plant floor. K.C.K. made the stamper look good in the eyes of their customer.
